You’ve got your place at uni sorted but what on earth do you need to take with you? Here’s our definitive guide for what to take to university. Why not check them off as you go:

  • Kitchen checklist

    Kitchen

    All of our house contain white goods, kettles, toasters and microwaves. However, you will need to provide your own cutlery, crockery and utensils. please see the handy list below for guidance on what to bring:

    • Bowls and plates
    • Cutlery
    • Mugs and glasses
    • Saucepans in a variety of sizes
    • A wok
    • Sharp knives
    • Baking trays
    • Tupperware
    • Oven gloves
    • Tea towels
    • Cheese grater
    • Vegetable peeler
    • Dish cloths or sponges
    • A tin opener
    • Bottle opener with a corkscrew

    Useful but not essential: herbs and spices, a toastie maker, a coffee maker, measuring jug, whisk, ladle, egg cups

    Make sure you discuss with your housemates what you are bringing before, you don’t want to end up with loads of the same things!

  • Bedroom checklist

    • At least 2 bed sheets
    • At least 2 duvet cover
    • at lease 4 pillow cases
    • Duvet
    • Pillows
    • Mattress protector
    • Hangers
    • Laundry bag or basket

    Useful but not essential: Rug, decorations and additional storage if you know you have a lot of stuff!
